These are the materials I used. I mixed between Prismacolor and Faber Castel Polychromo pencil sets. Both of these pencil sets are really enjoyable to use with vibrant colours and they blend so well. Only downside to the Prismacolors is the inner crayon cracks quite a lot. These Pencils are extremely time consuming as well since there is a lot of layering but it does create quite a smooth and fluid effect. I also used some gel white pens to use for white highlights in certain areas.

This is a drawing of Leon from the movie Leon the Professional (highly recommend it). Which is now my 3rd white on black drawing, I learnt a lot from this one. White pastel is great when trying to achieve smoother tones such as skin, a lot easier then trying to do so with white pencils or charcoal pencils. I also used a combination of white gel pens and pencils for highlights in different areas.
I have been wanting to draw Bane in negative like this for ages now and I finally got around to it. It’s a lot of fun working with white on black for a change! Im using just plain standard black paper with a white pencil and gel pen.
Also more charcoal drawings and time lapse videos will be coming soon
This was my 2012 VCE studio art final. Which is a series/timeline of each actor that has played the character the joker over the years in Batman films. Each actor played the character in differnt ways in which I tried to capture in my artwork. You can see the videos of them being created in the ‘Time lapse videos’ section.
